John Carneglia is a former member of the Gambino crime family, one of the five major organized crime families in New York City. He is known for his involvement in various illegal activities, including drug trafficking, extortion, and racketeering.
Carneglia was born in 1945 in Brooklyn, New York, and he became associated with the Gambino family at a young age. He rose through the ranks and eventually became a prominent figure in the criminal organization.
In 1992, Carneglia was indicted on federal racketeering charges along with several other members of the Gambino family. He was convicted in 1993 and sentenced to 50 years in prison.
